正面描述 At center, a square frame contains a trident symbol within a circle. The four corners of the square are adorned with Hindu religious symbols arranged clockwise from the top left: Chakra (wheel), Shankha (conch), Gada (mace), and Padma (lotus). Above the square, a crescent moon flanks the auspicious Sri symbol (श्री) and a sun motif. The king's name in Devanagari script arcs along the upper border of the square, while the Nepali Sambat date appears below the square. A beaded inner border frames the entire design.

附加信息

Nepal's shift to brass-plated steel for this issue was driven by the chronic shortage of base metal coinage during the early 2000s, compounded by the Maoist insurgency that was actively disrupting rural commerce and supply chains across the country. Gyanendra had assumed the throne in 2001 following the royal massacre that killed King Birendra and eight other members of the royal family — the deadliest event in modern Nepalese palace history.

The magnetic planchet distinguishes KM#1151.1 from the non-magnetic brass variant of the same type.
