Reverse description The reverse depicts two aircraft in flight within the central field: a modern jet fighter rendered in dynamic silhouette in the upper portion, and a vintage biplane of early 1930s type in the lower portion, connected by a sweeping arc suggesting the passage of time and the evolution of Indian air power. The commemorative dates 1932-2007 are inscribed below the central design. A circular legend surrounds the field, reading INDIAN AIR FORCE and भारतीय वायु सेना on the left and right respectively, with प्लेटिनम जुबली arching across the top and PLATINUM JUBILEE along the bottom.

Additional information

India's Air Force was established on October 8, 1932, as the Royal Indian Air Force — one of only a handful of air arms created by the British colonial administration as an auxiliary to the RAF. It dropped the "Royal" prefix in 1950 following the republic's formation. This 2007 issue marks the 75th anniversary of that founding date, placing the commemorative squarely within a broader Indian government program of rupee-denomination coins honoring institutional milestones rather than individuals.
