Trilingual legends in Sinhala, Tamil, and English run across the upper register, with 'TWO RUPEES' inscribed in a rectangular panel at the lower right. |

| Reverse description | Central vignette presents an engraved panoramic view of the Medirigiriya Vatadage circular relic shrine at Polonnaruwa, its concentric terraced platform and rows of stone pillars rendered in fine intaglio line work. The right half of the note carries a dense repetitive letterpress underprint of the bank name in Sinhala script, forming a security text background. Denomination numerals '2' appear at all four corners within guilloche cartouches, with trilingual inscriptions across the upper register and the printer's imprint at the base. |
