| Reverse description | The field displays the denomination '2 ROYALINER' inscribed in two lines across the upper portion, with the date split across the middle register, flanking a centrally placed circular shield bearing the arms of the Danish Asiatic Company or associated colonial arms in low relief. The entire design is set within an irregular hammered flan with a beaded border, characteristic of the crudely struck coinage produced for Danish India. The legends and numerals are boldly if somewhat roughly rendered, consistent with the primitive striking technique employed at the colonial mint. |
