Obverse description Central field occupied by the interlaced royal cipher of Frederik V, composed of a bold crowned 'F5' monogram in relief, the letters intertwined in a decorative Baroque manner. A royal crown surmounts the monogram. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, consistent with the hand-worked nature of this pattern piece. The field is plain and unadorned save for the monogram, and the coin exhibits a milled or reeded border visible along the periphery.
