| Reverse description | A finely detailed portrait of the writer and journalist Vladimir Alexeyevich Gilyarovsky occupies the centre of the field, rendered in high relief. Below the portrait, a facsimile of his cursive signature ВЛ. ГИЛЯРОВСКИЙ appears alongside a quill pen and the dates 1853–1935 in two lines. Along the rim, a continuous decorative frieze comprises five miniature figural scenes depicting people and a horse, evoking scenes of old Moscow street life. In the left field background, pages of a newspaper are suggested in low relief, while to the right, silhouettes of historic Moscow architecture—including the Sukharev Tower and an Orthodox church—form the backdrop. |
