| Obverse description | At centre, the double-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia, depicted with wings lowered, serving as the state symbol of the issuing authority. The eagle is encircled by a dotted border, with the denomination legend ДВА РУБЛЯ (TWO ROUBLES) arching along the upper rim and the inscription БАНК РОССИИ (BANK OF RUSSIA) in a semicircle beneath the eagle. Along the lower rim, flanking the year of issue 2008, are the alloy designation and fineness (Ag 925) to the left and the fine metal content with the Moscow Mint monogram (ММД) to the right. |
