Obverse description The obverse features the State Emblem of the Russian Federation — a double-headed eagle displayed, each head surmounted by a crown, with a larger imperial crown above and a ribbon between; the dexter talon grasping an orb and the sinister a sceptre. At the centre of the eagle's breast is a shield bearing the mounted figure of St. George slaying the dragon. The circular legend РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ (Russian Federation) arcs along the upper rim, flanked by decorative lozenges. Below the eagle, in the lower field, the inscriptions БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia), 2 РУБЛЯ (2 Roubles), and 2022 г. appear on separate lines. To the left of the eagle's base is the fineness mark Ag 925, and to the right the weight 15,55 accompanied by the Saint Petersburg Mint monogram (СПМД).

Reverse description The reverse displays a coloured botanical illustration of Taraxacum leucoglossum (white-tongued dandelion), a rare plant endemic to the high mountain regions of Russia. In the right-centre field, a mature flowering plant is depicted in polychrome colour, showing a rosette of narrow lanceolate leaves growing from a rocky substrate, with one open composite flower head and one unopened bud on reddish stems. To the lower left, a detached seed head (pappus) rests on the rocky ground, and in the background a ghostly incuse rendering of a dandelion clock and leaves adds depth to the composition. The curved Cyrillic legend ОДУВАНЧИК БЕЛОЯЗЫЧКОВЫЙ (Taraxacum leucoglossum) arcs along the upper left rim.
