| 背面描述 | A boldly modelled lion, representing the zodiac sign Leo, is depicted in left-facing profile stance with its head turned to face right, rendered in frosted satin relief against a highly polished mirror field. The body of the lion is ornamented with multiple six- and eight-pointed stars, evoking the principal stars of the Leo constellation. The tail curls upward behind the animal and terminates in a star-shaped tuft. To the left of the lion, in the open field, the astrological symbol for Leo (♌) is incused in outline. The composition is unlettered, allowing the figural design to dominate the broad, reflective field. |

Part of Russia's long-running "Signs of the Zodiac" series issued by the Bank of Russia in the early 2000s, these coins were produced in relatively modest quantities and sold directly through authorized dealers rather than entering general circulation. The series ran through all twelve signs across 2002 and 2003, with collector demand driven largely by the domestic Russian market at a time when silver commemorative coin collecting was expanding rapidly following the economic stabilization after the 1998 ruble crisis.
