Obverse description At centre, the double-headed eagle of the Russian Federation, displayed with wings spread, rendered in frosted relief against a mirror-polished field. The eagle bears no shield on its breast, consistent with the standard Bank of Russia coin type of this period. A dotted inner border encircles the central device. The denomination ДВА РУБЛЯ (Two Roubles) is inscribed along the upper arc in Cyrillic, while БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia) appears in the lower arc; the date 2002 Г. is inscribed at the base. To the lower left, the fineness mark АГ 925 and the weight figure 15,55 flank the Moscow Mint monogram (ММД) to the lower right.
