| Obverse description | At centre, the double-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia after the design of Ivan Bilibin, displayed with spread wings. Surrounding the eagle is a beaded circle, above which the denomination legend «ДВА РУБЛЯ» (TWO ROUBLES) appears along the upper rim, and the date «1999» along the lower rim. A semicircular inscription «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA) is positioned beneath the eagle within the beaded border. To the left of the eagle in the field, the metal purity designation «Ag 925» is inscribed, while to the right the fine metal content «15,55» and the Moscow Mint monogram «ММД» appear. |
