| 正面描述 | The copper-nickel centre features the state coat of arms of the Republic of Belarus in high relief, comprising a radiant sun rising over a globe, flanked by wheat sheaves bound with a ribbon in the national colours, with clover at left and flax at right, surmounted by a five-pointed star. The inscription «РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ» appears on a ribbon at the base of the arms. The legend «БЕЛАРУСЬ» runs along the upper arc of the outer copper-plated steel ring, while the denomination «2 РУБЛІ» is inscribed along the lower arc. Traditional Belarusian ornamental motifs decorate the ring at the sides. |

Belarus adopted its current rouble following the 2016 redenomination that wiped four zeros off the currency — a correction made necessary by decades of post-Soviet inflation that had pushed ordinary transactions into the millions. The bimetallic construction of this series was introduced partly to complicate counterfeiting of high-circulation denominations, a persistent concern for the National Bank throughout the 2010s.
