Obverse description The Russian State emblem, a double-headed eagle with wings displayed and no crowns, occupies the central field in high relief against a mirror-polished background. The eagle is depicted in the post-Soviet heraldic style adopted by the Bank of Russia for its commemorative series. Two concentric dotted borders frame the design, with the denomination legend 'ДВА РУБЛЯ' arcing across the upper field and 'БАНК РОССИИ' inscribed along the lower arc. The fineness 'Ag 925' appears at lower left, the weight '15,55' at lower right, the issue year '2003 Г.' at the base, and the Saint Petersburg Mint monogram (СПМД) at the right side between the dotted borders.
Obverse script Cyrillic, Latin
Obverse lettering ДВА РУБЛЯ БАНК РОССИИ • Ag 925 • 2003 г. • 15,55 СПМД
