Reverse description A large royal crown dominates the upper field, positioned above the royal cipher D.M.A., the initials of the king's personal motto DOMINUS MIHI ADIUTOR (The Lord is my helper). The date appears below the cipher, with a heart-shaped mintmark dividing the numerals of the year within the surrounding legend. The peripheral legend, arranged around the rim, records the coin's denomination and monetary authority in Latin, with the mintmaster's initials flanking the heart mintmark.
