Obverse description Letterpress-printed note in dark blue ink on buff paper, with the denomination rendered as an ornate script numeral '2' surmounted by 'Rd.' and two horizontal strokes, centred on the face. The bearer obligation of the Riksgäldskontoret is set in an early nineteenth-century blackletter typeface, with the denomination in full given bilingually as 'Twå Riksdaler' in Swedish and 'Kaxi Riikin Talaria' in Finnish at lower left, and an anti-counterfeiting warning in a smaller roman typeface to the right. Two manuscript signatures appear below the text block, the note dated Stockholm, 1 July 1828.

Reverse description The reverse carries a mirror-image offset impression of the obverse letterpress text, a characteristic consequence of the printing technique employed, with the blackletter inscription and denomination numerals reading in reverse from left to right. Two ornate script '2=' denomination numerals are visible in the upper portion, one to either side of centre. The impression is lighter and more diffuse than the obverse, the aged buff paper exhibiting toning and fold lines consistent with prolonged circulation.
Reverse lettering (Identical to front, but mirrored.)
