| Obverse description | The coat of arms of the Yemen Arab Republic occupies the central field, depicting a displayed eagle with wings spread, clutching crossed janbiya daggers and their scabbards, with a shield on its breast bearing horizontal lines. An Arabic legend arcs along the upper periphery reading the country name, while the denomination is inscribed in both Latin numerals and Arabic script across the lower field, flanked by the dual date 1969-١٩٦٩. The Latin legend YEMEN ARAB REPUBLIC curves along the lower rim, and the entire design is framed by a beaded border. |
