| Obverse description | The upper portion carries a rectangular letterpress vignette with ornamental guilloche borders, centred on an oval cartouche bearing the municipal monogram, flanked by the inscriptions STADT and GEBWEILER. Below, the denomination and payment obligation are set in bold Gothic type against a salmon-pink underprint wash, with the date Gebweiler, den 6 August 1914 printed to the right. Two manuscript signatures appear at the foot, attributed respectively to Der Stadtrechner and Der Bürgermeister (i.V.), alongside a vertically printed serial number on the left margin. |
