| 背面描述 | The reverse of the host coin — a Spanish colonial 2 Reales struck at the Mexico City Mint — depicts the crowned hemispheres design characteristic of the late Pillars of Hercules type, with two crowned globes flanked by the Pillars of Hercules, each pillar draped with a banner inscribed PLUS ULTRA. The surrounding legend bears the name and titles of the reigning Spanish monarch. The field is plain and the design is struck in high relief typical of milled colonial coinage of the period. Date and assayer letters appear in the exergual area or within the legend. The overall host coin corresponds to issues of Carlos IV, minted between 1792 and 1808. |
