Obverse description A condor displayed facing left occupies the central field, its wings raised and spread, with talons grasping a broken chain — a symbol of independence and liberation. The bird stands on a rocky perch rendered in relief. The peripheral legend reads POR LA RAZON Y LA FUERZA, and the lower exergue bears the fineness and weight notation 10 Ds. 20 Gs., separated by dot stops. The design is enclosed within a beaded border.

Reverse description The Chilean national arms — a shield bearing a five-pointed star within a divided field — occupies the center, surmounted by a feathered crest. The shield is flanked by symmetrical laurel branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow, forming a wreath. The denomination 2 R appears prominently in the central field below the shield. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE CHILE is distributed around the upper periphery, with the mint mark So, assayer initials, and date arranged at the lower margin. The design is enclosed within a beaded border.
