| Obverse lettering | SUD. OAXACA (Translation: South Oaxaca) |
| Reverse description | The reverse bears a central field with the denomination and date arranged in three lines: '2', a cross symbol, 'R' (for Reales), and the date '1814', all crudely incuse-struck in the field. The legend 'SUD. OAXACA' or similar inscription appears along the upper periphery. The border is formed by a rudimentary milled or rope-like rim, characteristic of Morelos insurgent coinage. The entire surface exhibits the rough, irregular quality typical of emergency-issue hammered silver coinage produced by the rebel administration of Oaxaca during the Mexican War of Independence. |
