| Reverse description | The reverse displays the interlaced monogram of José María Morelos prominently in the upper field, formed by the letters S and M in cursive cipher. Below the monogram, the denomination indicator '2.R.' (2 Reales) is inscribed centrally, with the date of issue occupying the lower field. The legends are crudely but legibly rendered in raised relief, consistent with the hand-engraved dies typical of Oaxacan insurgent coinage. The milled border surrounds the entire design on an irregular copper flan. |
