| Beschrijving voorzijde | Draped and armored imaginary bust of Ferdinand VII facing right, rendered in a stylized neoclassical manner not derived from a direct royal portrait. The legend FERDIN VII DEI GRATIA encircles the effigy, interrupted by the bust truncation, with the four-digit date flanked by pellets in the exergue below. The portrait features curled hair and a military collar, characteristic of the so-called 'busto imaginario' type used at the Santiago mint during the early independence period. A beaded border runs along the inner rim. |
