Reverse description The reverse presents the original Peruvian Republican design of the host 2 Reales coin struck at the Lima Mint in 1826. The central field features the Peruvian coat of arms — a quartered shield displaying a vicuña, a cinchona tree, and a cornucopia — enclosed within a wreath of palm and laurel branches tied at the base. A condor with outstretched wings surmounts the shield. The circular legend around the beaded border reads 'REPUB PERUANA' at the top, with the mint mark 'M', denomination '2R', assayers' initials 'J.M.', and the date '1826' distributed around the lower periphery.
