| Описание аверса | Crowned quartered shield of the Spanish Royal Arms in the hammered cob style, displaying the castles of Castile and lions of León in alternating quarters, with a central pomegranate at the base. The irregularly shaped host flan, typical of macuquina (cob) coinage, is struck with a beaded border partially visible around the periphery. The die impression is characteristically off-center and uneven, consistent with the hand-struck production method of colonial South American mints. A hole is present at the lower left of the flan, a common feature encountered on circulated cob coinage of this period. |

| Описание реверса | A large crowned royal monogram, consisting of an interlaced 'F' (for Felipe/Philippus IV) surmounted by an ornate royal crown, applied as a countermark punch by the Guatemala assay office in 1663 to validate the host cob coin for continued circulation. The countermark occupies the majority of the visible field on this side of the irregular flan and is boldly struck in high relief relative to the worn host coin surface. A beaded border is partially discernible around the edge of the flan. The same hole noted on the obverse pierces the upper left area of this face. |
