Obverse description Obverse of the host cob (macuquina) displaying the quartered royal arms of Castile and León within a plain shield: the upper-left and lower-right quarters bear the castles of Castile, while the upper-right and lower-left quarters show the lions of León. The shield is set within a partially visible legend field consistent with late 16th-century Lima or Potosí hammered coinage. The irregular, roughly circular flan exhibits the characteristic uneven surfaces and clipped edges typical of cob-struck silver. A drilled suspension hole is visible toward the lower-right of the flan.
