Obverse description Armored bust of Philip IV facing right, rendered in high relief in the hammered cob style typical of mid-17th-century Spanish coinage. The king wears a ruffled collar and plate armor, his hair visible beneath the crown. The mintmark and assayer's letter B appear to the left of the bust, with the Roman numeral II denomination mark to the right. The surrounding circular legend reads PHILIPPUS IIII D G, partially visible due to the irregular flan. The overall style is characteristic of macuquina (cob) coinage, with an intentionally crude artistic execution.
