| 背面描述 | Quartered coat of arms of the Kingdom of Majorca set within a lozenge-shaped shield, displaying the characteristic pale-striped arms of Aragon alongside the castle device, all within a beaded inner circle. The shield occupies the entire central field in typical hammered style with irregular strike. The surrounding Latin legend + MALORICARVM · CATOLICVS encircles the shield, interrupted by the shield's corners, as is characteristic of Majorcan hammered coinage of the early seventeenth century. |

Felipe III never visited Majorca, but the island's mint operated under royal license throughout his reign, striking coinage that circulated heavily across the western Mediterranean trading network. The Majorcan 2 Reales from this period are notoriously inconsistently struck — a product of the island's small mint infrastructure rather than any deliberate policy — and full, legible examples are genuinely difficult to locate.
