Reverse description A bold Greek cross divides the field into four lobes forming a quatrefoil or cuadrilóbulo pattern, each lobe containing alternating castles and lions representing the kingdoms of Castile and León respectively. The cross arms extend to the inner beaded border, with the overall composition typical of the Spanish Habsburg monetary reform coinage. A partial Latin legend encircles the design along the outer periphery, readable in segments due to the irregular hammered flan. The strike exhibits the characteristic uneven surfaces and flan cracks associated with macuquina production at the La Coruña mint.
