Reverse description A bold Jerusalem cross with elaborate flared terminals divides the field into four quadrants, each containing alternating castles (towers) and lions passant, representing the arms of Castile and León. The quadrants are arranged in the standard Spanish colonial pattern, with the design struck on an irregular planchet typical of macuquina cob coinage. The denomination numeral II is partially visible to the right of the cross. The border consists of a partial beaded circle, characteristic of Lima mint issues of this period.
