Reverse description The crowned Royal Arms of Spain occupy the central field, quartered with castles and lions and bearing a central escutcheon, surmounted by an ornate crown. The mint mark C (Mexico City) appears to the left of the shield, the assayers' initials SF to the right, and the denomination numeral 2 is placed at the right. The circular legend reads IN UTROQ FELIX AUSPICE DEO, with HISPAN et IND REX completing the inscription around the periphery. The reeded border frames the entire reverse design.
