Obverse description Central field bears the crowned interlaced royal monogram of Charles III (Archduke of Austria), combining the letters C, A, and S in an elaborate cipher surmounted by a royal crown with fleur-de-lis finials. The regnal numeral III appears below the monogram, flanked by small rosette stops. The entire device is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the circumferential Latin legend and date running between the inner beaded circle and the outer reeded border.
