Obverse description Crude draped bust of Carlos II facing left, surmounted by a distinctive tall, elaborately rendered crown with prominent fleurs and orb finial, characteristic of the Majorcan hammered coinage of this period. The effigy is rendered in a highly stylized, archaic manner typical of provincial Spanish hammered silver. A beaded inner border encircles the design, with the partially visible Latin legend distributed around the periphery of the irregularly shaped flan.
