| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse displays the hammered quartered royal arms of Castile and León, characteristic of the Catholic Monarchs coinage struck at the Granada mint. The shield, surmounted by a crown, is divided into quarters bearing the castles of Castile and the lions of León, with a pomegranate in base representing Granada. A prominent raised countermark — the 'Bamba' mark applied by Canary Islands authorities in 1734 under Philip V — appears in the right field, consisting of a rosette or flower-shaped punch impressed into the host coin's surface to validate and revalue the piece for local circulation. |
