Additional information

Córdoba's provincial coinage survived longer than Argentina's central government would have preferred. The 1853 Constitution formally ended the legal basis for provincial mints, but Córdoba had already been winding down its silver issues in the mid-1840s under pressure from Buenos Aires — this type falls squarely in that terminal phase of autonomous provincial monetary production.

The multiple CJ references indicate documented die varieties across the two-year run, a known characteristic of Córdoba's output given its small-scale minting operation.
