| 正面描述 | The South African coat of arms is depicted centrally in the field, rendered in full heraldic detail. The date 2024 appears at the top of the coin along the upper legend arc. Surrounding the arms, the legend identifies the issuing nation in two official languages, Xhosa and Ndebele, reading 'UMZANTSI AFRIKA' and 'YISEWULA AFRIKA' respectively. The design reflects the post-1994 republican coinage tradition of South Africa with bilingual rotating-language inscriptions. |

Part of the South African Mint's ongoing Cultural Series, this issue continues the programme begun in the 1990s to rotate depictions of the country's eleven officially recognised language groups across the circulating coinage. The Xhosa and Ndebele peoples are recognised as distinct communities under the post-apartheid constitutional framework that established those eleven languages — a direct product of the 1993 negotiated settlement and the 1996 constitution that followed.
KM#791 is a recent addition to a long-running type sequence that collectors have tracked across multiple compositional changes since the series inception.
