正面描述 Central quartered shield bearing the arms of Castile and León, surmounted by a royal crown, with the denomination numeral '2' to the left and 'Q' to the right of the shield flanking the value. The circumferential legend encircles the central device, reading in Latin and referencing Queen Isabella II of Spain and the Indies. The design is rendered in a bold, slightly crude style characteristic of the Manila Mint's colonial copper coinage of this period.

附加信息

Struck in Manila under Spanish colonial authority during Isabella II's nominal reign, though she was only four years old in 1835 and power was effectively exercised through a regency following Ferdinand VII's death the previous year. The Philippine copper quartos of this period were chronically underproduced relative to local demand, leading to widespread counterfeit cobs and cut coinage circulating alongside official issues well into the 1840s.

KM#14 examples are frequently found with uneven planchet surfaces — a known characteristic of the Manila mint's copper stock at the time, not a strike deficiency.
