At the top, the written denomination قرشان (Two Qirsh) is inscribed in Naskh calligraphy, followed below by the Arabic numeral ٢ (2), and beneath that the Hijri year ١٣٧٩ (AH 1379, corresponding to 1960 CE). The design is simple and functional, with the numerals occupying the majority of the field against a plain, unadorned background. A raised rim frames the reverse. |
