| Descrizione del rovescio | The upper portion of the reverse features a two-line Arabic inscription in bold naskh script reading 'Al-Saltana Al-Masriya' (Sultanate of Egypt), occupying the upper field. At centre, a stylised floral or palm-branch ornament divides the denomination, which is expressed bilaterally: the Western Arabic numeral '2' to the left and the Eastern Arabic numeral '٢' to the right, flanked below by the legend 'PIASTRES' in Latin characters on the left and 'غرشان' (Ghirshan) in Arabic on the right. In the lower exergue, a decorative floral scroll separates the Gregorian year 1920 on the left from the Hijri year 1338 in Eastern Arabic numerals on the right. The whole design is contained within a dentilated border. |
