Below the conch motifs, a horizontal bar or anvil-like element is struck in bold relief, beneath which appears a compact arrangement of twelve raised globules disposed in a roughly rectangular cluster, a characteristic motif of Cochin coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, typical of hammered silver production of the period. |
