| Obverse description | The national arms of Botswana displayed centrally, featuring a shield divided into three sections: the upper portion bearing three interlocked cogwheels symbolising industry, the middle section depicting wavy lines representing water, and the lower section showing the head of a bull. Two zebras serve as supporters on either side of the shield, each holding a tusk of ivory. A scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto PULA.
