| Description du revers | Central device depicting the Yale of Beaufort, a mythical heraldic beast with the body of an antelope, the tail of a lion, and the head bearing swivelling horns, shown stationary and facing left atop a shield charged with a crowned portcullis with chains, the badge of the Beaufort family and a royal heraldic symbol. The beast and shield are rendered in fine detail against the plain field. The date 2019 and the inscription YALE OF BEAUFORT appear as the surrounding legend, with the engraver's initials JC included. This reverse forms part of the Royal Mint's Queen's Beasts series celebrating the heraldic supporters of Queen Elizabeth II. |
