| Beschrijving keerzijde | Dynamic depiction of an electric guitar body in the lower field, rendered in bold relief with two pickup units flanking a central ball element suggestive of a pinball machine motif, evoking The Who's iconic visual imagery. The guitar neck extends upward toward the centre, above which the band's celebrated circular target logo enclosing the stylised 'The Who' wordmark is prominently displayed. A textured, crosshatched background fills the field, enhancing depth and contrast. The engraver's initials 'HDG' appear in the lower right field. The repeating inscription '1 OZ FINE SILVER 999 2021' runs continuously around the outer border of the reverse. |

Issued as part of the Royal Mint's Music Legends series, this coin marks the fiftieth anniversary of the Who's debut at Woodstock — though the band's relationship with that festival was famously fraught, Pete Townshend knocking Abbie Hoffman off the stage mid-set in one of rock's better-documented confrontations. The series itself began with Queen in 2020 and has drawn collectors more familiar with record sleeves than coin cabinets, which has kept secondary market premiums unusually firm relative to comparable bullion-weight silver issues.
