| Description du revers | Central field features a vivid colored enamel composition of red Flanders poppies in full bloom, densely arranged to evoke the fields of remembrance. The denomination £2 appears prominently in the center of the design. Surrounding the poppy motif, a circular legend carries the opening lines of Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae's poem 'In Flanders Fields': IN FLANDERS FIELDS THE POPPIES BLOW BETWEEN THE CROSSES, ROW ON ROW, THAT MARK OUR PLACE; AND IN THE SKY THE LARKS, STILL BRAVELY SINGING, FLY SCARCE HEARD AMID THE GUNS BELOW.
