Additional information

Pobjoy Mint, operating as a private mint under contract, has produced commemorative coinage for numerous smaller territories and dependencies since the 1960s. This piece almost certainly falls within their ongoing program for one of the British Crown Dependencies or Overseas Territories — the KM#93 reference and 2019 dating place it in a Victoria bicentennial or anniversary series, of which several were issued across multiple jurisdictions that year to mark 200 years since Victoria's birth in 1819.

Pobjoy has held long-standing contracts with the Isle of Man, among others, producing issues that circulate nominally but exist primarily for the collector market.
