Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the George IV State Diadem, with drop earring and pearl necklace, as modelled by Raphael David Maklouf; the engraver's initials RDM appear below the truncation. The shield of Guernsey, bearing three golden lions passant guardant, is positioned to the left of the effigy. The circumferential legend reads ELIZABETH II BAILIWICK OF GUERNSEY, with the date 1988 placed at the bottom of the field.

Reverse description Facing bust of King William II (William Rufus), wearing an ornate jewelled crown, a draped mantle with a decorated clasp, and a beaded collar, set within an elaborate dotted inner circle flanked by symmetrical foliate scroll ornaments. The legend WILLIAM II arcs along the upper periphery, while TWO POUNDS is inscribed along the lower periphery. The regnal dates 1087 and 1100 appear vertically on the left and right sides of the field respectively, outside the decorative frame.
