Obverse description The fifth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark, depicting the crowned and draped bust of the monarch in right-facing profile, wearing the George IV State Diadem and a drop pearl earring. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a polished silver inner field, set within a gold-toned outer ring bearing the circumscribed Latin legend. The designer's initials 'J.C.' appear incuse at the base of the truncation. The surrounding legend reads 'ELIZABETH II · D · G · REG · F · D · 2 POUNDS', separated by raised dots, affirming the sovereign's title and the coin's denomination.
