| Additional information |
Cooper Island lies roughly 55 km southwest of South Georgia's main coastline and supports one of the Southern Ocean's more closely studied fur seal populations. South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands issues coins through the British Overseas Territory administration but maintains no resident population and no local circulation — these pieces are produced entirely for the collector market via the Pobjoy Mint.
