| 背面描述 | The full Ascension Island coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring a heraldic shield charged with a chevron above a sooty tern in flight, supported on either side by green sea turtles as supporters. Above the shield rises an elaborate mantling surmounted by a crest depicting a sailing ship on waves. The curved legend GRANTING OF ASCENSION ISLAND COAT OF ARMS arcs along the upper periphery, and the denomination £2 appears in the lower field. A small PM mint mark is present at lower right of the central device. |

Ascension Island has no indigenous population and no permanent civilian residents outside of contracted workers — it is administered directly by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office as a dependency of Saint Helena. Coins issued in its name are produced entirely for the collector market, with no meaningful circulation on the island itself. KM#26 is one of several Crown-sized issues from this period licensed through the Saint Helena government's coin program.
