| 背面描述 | The copper-nickel centre features the official badge of the Royal Air Force in high relief: a spread-winged eagle displayed, facing downward, superimposed upon a circular roundel inscribed PER ARDVA · AD ASTRA, the whole surmounted by the Tudor Crown. Below the eagle, a sprig of laurel is visible at the base of the roundel. The Royal Mint mark RM appears at lower left of the outer ring. The nickel-brass ring bears the commemorative legend THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ROYAL AIR FORCE reading clockwise around the upper arc, with the dates 1918 – 2018 at the base. |
