Issued in the year following Vera Lynn's death in 2020, this commemorative was part of a broader Royal Mint push to mark figures whose cultural weight had been amplified by the pandemic — Lynn's wartime recordings had returned to heavy radio rotation during the lockdowns, briefly charting again nearly eight decades after their original release.
